The class continues their focus on Christian Doctrine, written by the late Dr. Shirley Guthrie of the Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, who was highly respected as a teacher and friend to his students and colleagues. Both of our pastors studied under Dr. Guthrie. A review of Dr. Guthrie's book by Books of the Bible website declares: "One of the clearest and most popular expositions of Protestant teaching and doctrine in print. Helps take the mystery out of the attributes of God, the incarnation, sanctification, the Holy Spirit, and the resurrection."

Led by Dr. Negley, will focus on the book, Breaking the Code - Understanding the Book of Revelation by Bruce M. Metzger. Breaking the Code serves as a key for understanding this powerful and puzzling book from the first century of the Christian era. This class meets in the back of McLeod Hall.

The resource for this class can be reviewed online at www.thethoughtfulchristian.com. The Thoughtful Christian concept is to offer studies ranging from one to four sessions on a variety of subjects grouped into five categories: Contemporary Issues, Popular Culture, Bible and Theology, Christian Living and Spirituality. This class requires a covenant of understanding between students, and the students themselves will take turns leading each subject. The class meets in the Edinburgh Annex (the old choir room) on the second floor of the sanctuary building.

Welcome to the Mayberry Bible Study Ya’ll! Those youth in grades 6-8 will go back in time and visit the world of Andy Griffith with Mr. Dantzler and Mr. Elmore. Come reserve your spot now!

Children will have the opportunity to better understand the biblical message that we all have different gifts that can be used to glorify God.

Kids will love the hands on approach to learning, using sounds and songs, drawings, props and puzzles to explore each "relationship." This curriculum proves to be a winner with teachers as well.
