Most of us know the story of Jonah (and the whale). The adults in our Christian upbringing read it to us. We have seen it depicted in pictures. We have read it in our own Bibles. Jonah was a prophet of God, and when we hear his story we overhear God speaking to us about obedience, grace, and love.

There are 11 other books that surround the book of Jonah, telling the powerful stories of 11 other prophets (for a total of 12 biblical Minor Prophets).

We might want to study the fairly short stories of Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi to give God an opportunity to speak to us.
