I am thankful for humor.

Scripture: Proverbs 11:22

“Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman without sense.”

Are you giggling? Its okay, this proverb makes me smile too. I am so grateful for all the things that make me laugh. I enjoy funny movies and silly children’s books. I love a good joke. I love bad jokes. I am so grateful to be able to laugh at myself when I need to calm down or things don’t always go my way.

Some would say I have a twinkle in my eye because I am up to something mischievous and my smile gets real large when I get to reveal a surprise. And am sure God has a great sense of humor as we are a reflection of God’s image. I am thankful for God’s sense of humor; to know that life can be made through with a smile and laughter shared among friends.

And to close with a joke! What’s the best way to study the Bible?!? You LUKE into it!

Light of Light, we give thanks that you are able to illuminate a part of you in the joy and laughter we share with one another. We are grateful for opportunities to smile and enjoy one another’s happiness as witness to you as Lord have done wonderful things for us. Thank you for the gift and thank you for the ultimate gift of your Son, Christ Jesus. Amen.
