December 4
Luke 2:8-14, Matthew 2:1-12, John 1:1-5, Matthew 5:16.
About 30 years ago, a family moved into Tera Lane. The wife related the story of being so poor as a child that her family never could afford a Christmas tree or exchange gifts. She vowed that if it was financially possible she would provide a grand Christmas celebration for her children. Thus, began one yard filled with Christmas lights which spread throughout the neighborhood.
A new family is moving into Tera Lane this year; the wife grew up loving our Christmas lights. She said it is her dream neighborhood. What could be better than sharing the spirit of Christmas with our community!

O Lord, from the beginning we have seen the role “light” played in the nativity story: the glory of the Lord shining star and the Messiah being the light of humankind. This Christms help us to let our light shine before others so that they may see Your good works and glorify You in Heaven. Amen.
