Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint
and strengthens the powerless.
30 Even youths will faint and be weary,
and the young will fall exhausted,
31 but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint

Our national symbol is a bald eagle. We have been taught to look in awe to the majesty of this strong and majestic creatures which soars to great heights.

The eagle was capturing imaginations long before we were us. (The good ole US) The people of Israel, at one of their national low moments, were reminded that those who turn to God for their strength will soar again.

It may be time for us to turn to this source of strength.

God, my Creator, if I feel weary, powerless, or exhausted, let me find my strength in you. Renew my strength today, and help me to mount up like an eagle with wings of great strength. Amen .
