“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this: It is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8

When you are given a gift do you let it sit on a shelf and never open the gift? No, we instantly rip the gift open to see what we have been given. You actively receive the gift by opening it. We must do the same with God’s gift of salvation. Don’t put his gift on a shelf and never think about it again. Rip it open and receive it with your whole heart. Seek God in all you think and say and do not because you have to, but because it is joy to do so. The Good News is that we receive God’s grace just by believing that he is our Lord and Savior that came to die for us all. God didn’t die to make us choose him. He died so that we all have an opportunity to choose him of our own free will. Don’t waste God’s gift. Choose him today and experience his grace and peace that passes all understanding.

Prayer

Gracious God, thank You for Your undeserved gift of grace. Thank You for dying on the cross so that we may live with You in eternity. Help us each day to draw closer to You and experience You more tomorrow than we did today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
