How Great Is Our God

You all have probably guessed that I love to walk and even during the last little bit of my pregnancy, I try to at least make it one circle around my neighborhood a few times a week. We live in Cypresswood and from the moment you open the front door and make the circle around, you are greeted with the sounds and sights of God’s glorious creation. The birds instantly greet you with their chirpings, the cows are mooing, the cranes are squawking, neighbors are walking, and the sun is rising – it is an absolutely perfect way to start the day!

Reading through Psalm 8, I am reminded of my early morning walks. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet; all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, and the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, and all that swim in the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (Selected verses.)

Friends, how awesome is our Lord, our Creator? He loved us so much that He made us just a little lower than the angels and He gave us such beauty and grandeur in His creation for us to enjoy as well. How great is our God! This week when you are outside, make sure you stop and take a few minutes to ponder the beauty He sets before you each and every day! When you see a little child or spend time with a friend, remember, we are all gifts from our Lord. Have a glorious week!

Prayer

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You provide us with a rich sunrise every morning and end our days with glowing sunsets. We are so blessed that You created us just a little lower than the angels and we are able to enjoy your creation and blessings every single day. Help us to be thankful for these daily opportunities. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
