As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. The empty tomb of Easter reminds all of us about the new life that God has offered us in Jesus Christ.

As we prepare for living today, we should clothe ourselves with kindness.

One on-line dictionary renders this definition of kindness:

• the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
  synonyms: kindliness, kind-heartedness, warm-heartedness, tender-heartedness, goodwill, affectionateness, affection, warmth, gentleness, tenderness, concern, care and more
• a kind act. “it is a kindness I shall never forget”
  synonyms: kind act, good deed, act of kindness, good turn, favor, act of assistance, service, help, aid and more.

Can I act in such a way today so that another person experiences kindness? I hope so.

Prayer

God, let my actions be a demonstration to someone else of just a small amount of the kindness You have shown me in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, in whose name I pray. Amen.
