Matthew 11:2-6

When John heard in prison what the Messiah[a] was doing, he sent word by his[b] disciples and said to him, “Are you the one who is to come, or are we to wait for another?” Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers[c] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news brought to them. And blessed is anyone who takes no offense at me.”

Angels Care Center of Eloise is a free, faith-based medical clinic and care center. The Clinic opened in March of 2011. It primarily serves the Eloise community and surrounding areas. All of the patients served at Angels Care have no medical health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, and their income does not exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Angels Care Center is a primary care clinic that provides diagnostic care, follow up, and treatment, with a diabetes clinic and a dermatology clinic on certain nights each month.

The clinic is staffed in the evenings of operation by two to three doctors, five to seven nurses, seven to eight translators, two intake counselors, and one receptionist, all who volunteer their time and talents. The Deacons of our church direct a portion of their local benevolence funds annually to Angels Care Center to help provide health and medical care to some of the least fortunate in the greater Winter Haven community. Volunteers (medical professionals and supports personnel) are always welcome.

Prayer

God of healing, health, and wholeness, bless those who donate their time and talents to provide care for those here in our community. We ask this in the name of the Lord who brought and brings life even today. Amen.
