1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup black walnuts

Mix together butter and sugars. Add eggs and mix together. Add baking soda and salt to flour in a separate bowl and mix together with a fork. Add the flour mixture and nuts to the butter/sugar/egg mixture and mix together. Form cookie dough into a tube shape and roll in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight.

When ready to bake; slice dough ¼ inch thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until firm. Cool and store in an airtight container. Good with coffee!!

Malachi 3:1-4

O Lord most Holy, we long to be able to endure the day of Christ’s coming and to be able to stand when He appears. We know our sinfulness and our need to be purified and refined. Have mercy on us, we humbly pray. Amen
