You won’t believe this recipe and will probably be reluctant to try it (off the shelf white bread soaked in water and rung out – crumbled soda crackers). If you just try it in the small front cavity of the turkey, like for many folks, it may become the main stuffing in the next bird!

Recipe

4 slices off the shelf white bread
16 soda cracker squares, crushed
1 to 2 eggs
1 medium onion, chopped fine
Salt and pepper

Soak bread in water and hand ring out water. Place in a bowl and mix in crushed soda crackers. Mix in the egg and onions. Add salt and pepper to taste. This will stuff a 10-pound bird.

Prayer

Blessed Lord, thank You for a simple guide to living: rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give thanks in all circumstances. As these final days of Advent come, let us be ready to greet You. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
