She received dozens of awards and more than 50 honorary degrees

Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.

Prayer

Merciful God, we know that we have so much to be grateful for, but we often dwell on conflicts and challenges that we have faced. We often focus on what is wrong with world instead of naming Your goodness. Forgive us, Lord. Help us believe that in Jesus’ name we can be the good that will overcome evil in the world. Amen.
