Preparing to Celebrate the Birth of Our Savior: Faceless Interpretation

This Nativity set is very special to me. Over the course of a few years, my mom gifted each set of the Nativity to me for Christmas. The first was the Holy Family; then the Wise Men; Shepherd and Stable Animals; the Angel; and lastly Zampognaro. The last piece is one of my favorites… the depiction of a Shepherd bringing music to this most holy night. I particularly like the simplicity and ambiguity of this faceless interpretation of our Savior’s birth.

Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer

Wonderful God, we thank You for our place in the cycle of faithful generations as we live our lives and offer our gifts to accomplish Your plans in the kingdom. Help us to be instruments of praise today and each day of this new year. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
