Preparing to Celebrate the Birth of Our Savior: Honduran Church

These little clay nativity sets were among the first souvenirs I brought back from a mission trip to Honduras. To be honest, they were small, and not that expensive, so I was able to buy nativities for most of my family members and several friends. (And yet, getting these back to the Florida unbroken was a little labor of love and creative packing.) But more than that, they were beautiful, unique reminders for the joy that God has given us.

Psalm 126:1-3

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,[a]
we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we rejoiced.

Prayer

I rejoice, during this season, at the great things You have done for me in sending my Savior. Let my mouth be filled with laughter and let my tongue sing Your joy with every song of this season! Amen.
