Proverbs 24:13-14

¹³My child, eat honey, for it is good,
and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste.
¹⁴Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. 

What words of wisdom and good sense are the Proverbs that help one live a life faithfully and in right relationship with God and others. Maybe not honey to my 21^st century lips, but definitely a sea salt caramel chocolate candy that really hits the spot when I am craving something sweet. Maybe the book of Proverbs is not the first place you turn to when seeking God’s wisdom in your life, but I pray that through our short walk within such a book can make it one you do not flip over in the future. Indeed, I have found wisdom for my soul, may you as well.

Prayer

Ever Present Lord, in savoring the sweetness of a chocolate candy, may we also be savoring the wisdom of your Word. As the book of Proverbs speaks words of wisdom to our souls, may we heed and embrace as a source of life with You, now and always. Amen.
