Proverbs 28:18
18 One who walks in integrity will be safe,
but whoever follows crooked ways will fall into the Pit.
I am drawn to the description of life as a journey. And here in Proverbs the wise writer encourages us to “walk in integrity.”
in·teg·ri·ty (inˈteɡrədē) noun
the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
If integrity is the map we follow on life’s path, and if we strive to be honest and live by moral principles, there will be a godly quality to our lives.
On the other hand (or foot), if we choose the crooked path, the ultimate destination is a Pit.
Let’s try to walk the path of integrity.
Prayer
God, lead me along life’s path in such a way as a follower of Jesus, that I will have a blessed journey and be a blessing to others. Amen.
