Prayer

Loving God, on this Maundy Thursday, I am reminded of Your sacrifice. You gave Your only son for our sins, to redeem us, and bring us into right relationship with You. You sacrificed so that I might be forgiven, restored, and made new. There is little in my life that compares to Your generosity and selfless love. In spite of this gift, I struggle to appreciate what You have done for me. I fail to love as You have called me to love. Strengthen me this day to be mindful of Your love and to be filled with humble gratitude. Empower me to pour forth Your love to everyone I meet. Guide me to be Your servant and to care less about myself and more about my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen.
