Revelation 22:1-5

20 The man named his wife Eve[c] because she was the mother of all living. 21 And the Lord God made garments of skins for the man[d] and for his wife and clothed them.

22 Then the Lord God said, “See, the humans have become like one of us, knowing good and evil, and now they might reach out their hands and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent them forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which they were taken. (Genesis 3:20-23)

22 Then the angel[a] showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life[b] with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Nothing accursed will be found there any more. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him; they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

We are all on a journey of faith.

From Adam and Eve being sent from the Garden so that they would not live forever in their sinful state, to our promised heavenly home beside the River of Life in the Kingdom, life is a journey.

The scriptures show us how people have walked that path with God. And we write the next chapter with our faithful steps.

Go with God.

Prayer

God of my life, lead me so that I may walk in Your ways. Keep me attentive to the Word and the leading of Your Spirit. Bless the journey I am making, and make me a blessing to others along the way. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
