When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but wisdom is with the humble.

Every visit to SeaWorld is a new adventure. I’ve gifted myself for Christmas this year an annual pass to SeaWorld to enjoy the rides, shows and special events. I enjoy letting my cares and worries fly away as a race around on a roller coaster. I scream and laugh with abandon, just because I can and know I’ve been wonderfully made. And just when I think I’ve seen everything, I pride myself on knowing my way around the park and even dare to try to give someone who is lost directions, thus disgrace comes. I lead them NOT to the entrance to a ride, whoops. And I make new friends for the day. Enjoy a snack or two and sometimes, pass along a free perk to a stranger as I leave. I wonder what wonderous thing God has in store for me on my next visit.

Prayer

Glorious Lord, we are grateful for those places of adventure. For those places where we practice patience and kindness to others and accept such from others. In Christ’s precious name, Amen.
