Psalm 18:1-3

I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
    my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
    my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
    so I shall be saved from my enemies.

This lively tune with wonderful repetition has been a favorite of mine since my teen years. It has been a great reminder for me that God is always with me and is there to help me; all I need to do is call. The Rock of our salvation and never lets us go. We are simply called to call upon God and offer our praise. God is worthy of our praise. So, I hope that you may find time in your busy day to offer a prayer of praise today, thanking God for His many blessings, constant presence, and abiding love.

Prayer

Loving God, You are always there for us and we are grateful. Help us to remember that in gratitude and in praise for Your steadfast love. Empower us to be Your instruments of grace and mercy today. Amen.
