I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety.

Another camp classic! This is one that reminds me of my days at camp during song time and worship. We even had great hand motions for the different verses as well. It is a hymn that uses water imagery to remind us that true peace can only come from the Lord. Peace, love, and joy are gifts from God that allow us to experience a sense of deep fulfillment and contentment that comes from following God. I pray that you are filled with joy and experience a sense of peace today as you reflect on God’s love for you.

Prayer

Loving God, we pray for peace in our world and in our lives. We give thanks for the joy in our lives that can only come from knowing You and walking in Your light. Thank You for the gift of today. Amen.
