Exodus 25:1-40:38

This lengthy passage deals with the construction of the Ark of the Covenant and all of its trimmings along with the tabernacle which served as the tent or dwelling for God and the Ark. Some of the significance of this story is to share how the people prepared to encounter God, how they recognized God in their midst as something sacred and special, and how they were guided by God in their lives.

Prayer

Merciful God, we thank You for always being with us.  Help us never forget that You are with us in joy and sorrow.  Strengthen us to look for Your guidance today and to gratefully respond to Your call in our lives.  Empower us to carry Your love to all we meet today. Amen.
