Then he brought Israel out with silver and gold,
and there was no one among their tribes who stumbled.
Egypt was glad when they departed,
for dread of them had fallen upon it.
He spread a cloud for a covering,
and fire to give light by night.
They asked, and he brought quails,
and gave them food from heaven in abundance.
He opened the rock, and water gushed out;
it flowed through the desert like a river.
For he remembered his holy promise,
and Abraham, his servant.
Lord of All, You are a God of abundance. It is easy to be distracted by our “wants” and “wishes” when we should really be focused on just how good You are and much You have provided. We thank You for Your gifts; for the bounty You bestow upon us on a daily basis. Help us to be grateful and to answer Your call to share with those in need. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
