James 5:7

⁷ Be patient, therefore, beloved,^[b] until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.

Prayer

Wonderful God, since the time of Cain, we read in the Bible of people tilling the soil to produce food. And since the time of James, we not only benefit from the work of the farmers’ hands but also by watching their faithful and patient trust that you will provide. Thank you for showing us how patience touches our souls. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
