I Want to Know Christ and the Power of His Resurrection. 3:10a

My good friends, we are living in a very difficult time of history. It seems as if our God is testing us to our limit, and maybe beyond. I write this because of what is going on in the world today! Of course this isn’t the first time the world has been tested, and as time moves on, it probably won’t be the last time either, at least we pray not.

It has been and will always be my prayer that God, our Creator, will not let humankind come to the place where life as we have been blest with, will be drastically changed, or worse, end. Now I am not thinking of some kind of gigantic bomb that may fall upon us. No, what I am concerned about is that the people of the world may grow so far from the Will and Love of God that they may be used to bring total destruction and death to life as we now have it. In the happenings of today, the greatest enemy we have threatening us is what we have allowed the world to bring up us, perhaps mostly by our ignoring it.

This threat and fear is not really anything new. Human kind has always been the greatest threat to life as we know and enjoy it. Sadly, for you and me and all people, it doesn’t seem to be getting better. I stand, and I hope you with me, with what Paul wrote, “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection,” (Phil 3:10a.) I can say this that if American would make Christ the Savior and Lord, then the world God our Father made for us will continue to be the best place to live next to heaven.

Prayer

Oh God, our Father and Maker, give to all people living in this beautiful world You have blest us with, the love and forgiveness that Jesus Christ freely gives with grace through His resurrection. We pray for all in the world. Amen.
