Exodus 7:14-12:32

The culture that influenced many of us includes “Top Ten Lists”. When the editors of the Spark Story Bible decided to tell the story of The Plaques to children, they referred to a List of Ten:

God gave Moses a big job. Moses had to stand up to a very stubborn king who was making God’s people work as slaves. God told Moses to go to the pharaoh and say, “Let my people go!” But Pharaoh said, “No! I will not let God’s people go!” Pharaoh wanted the people to worship him, not God. So God used 10 ways, called plagues, to change Pharaoh’s mind.”

(5)  Oozy, gooey, icky sores

Prayer

God, help me to accept direction from You based on the depth of Your love and not my fear of punishment. Draw me to You each day through Jesus, who came as my gracious Savior. Amen.
