Luke 2:19

From this day forward, we have the memories to treasure in or hearts. We have the opportunity to reopen that “treasure chest” and to ponder how Christ inspired our traditions and inspired our celebrations.

The Things that mean so much to me at Christmas…

The Nativity Scene, the stockings hung by the chimney with care, the fireplace, the Christmas tree with special ornaments, the gifts under the tree selected for each family member and friends, the Christmas China adorning the Christmas tablecloth, the grandfather clock, the special lighting and candles.

Waiting for family arrival to sing Christmas Carols, to read the Christmas story from the Bible and to eat together at the family table.

All these things mean so much to me.

One of my favorite Christmas songs is “ I’ll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams”…

Every Christmas we bring these THINGS together again with our family to share and to live together again the joyous Christmas season!

With much love and respect,

Prayer

O God there is no place like home for the Holidays, We thank You that our celebrations of Christ’s birth draws us together. Hear our prayers for those who cannot be home for Christmas. We also pray for those who have sustained the loss of their home this year. Keep us ever mindful of where our true home is. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
