Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. ¹⁵No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. ¹⁶In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Vacation Bible School music gives voice and music to children’s faith in unique and memorable ways. As they learn the words and together, dance the moves, they take the love God has showered on them in Vacation Bible School with them far beyond the week. With talented leaders, like Jeremy Rath and Ashley Stroud, this year at VBS children were able to chant the Camp Firelight Chant and then calmly and heart-felt sing a beloved song, “This Little Light of Mine.” Every night children were able to share their faith, feel Christ’s love and put to words that experience of VBS. Then they carried that light out into the world.

Prayer

Christ our Redeemer may the light of our faith never be hidden. May the joy we exude in song never dry up. We trust you to strengthen and comfort the children of VBS to also let their light shine. Amen.
