Fall Education on Sunday Mornings

BEGINNING September 18

9:30 a.m. – Adult Sunday School

The Perspectives Class will begin a new study, The Mind of Jesus by William Barclay. Please join this class in the Geneva Room at 9:30 a.m. “Jesus suffered, doubted, hoped, feared, dreamed, wept, knew loneliness, planned, and built. William Barclay achieves in The Mind of Jesus his aim “to make the figure of Jesus more vividly alive, so that we may know him better and love him more.” This class is facilitated by Dr. Jim Threlkel and Glenn Thomas.

Job Shadowing – Walking the Talk at Work, will be led by David Fellows and David Alexander. Join this dynamic duo in Room 207 as they embark on looking to Daniel as a workplace mentor, you can see that God calls people not only into church-related work but also into non-religious occupations. His experience will show you what “ministry” looks like in the context of the work world. Daniel’s decisions display how to live by kingdom-of-God vision in the workplace. He demonstrates how knowing your identity produces stability under the pressures of the work world. And from Daniel, you can learn many secrets for staying spiritually strong in adverse conditions over the long haul. This class will meet September 18 – October 9.
