Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor’s house,
otherwise the neighbor will become weary of you and hate you.

Proverbs 25:17

Have you ever thought that the writer of Proverbs may have also been someone’s grandmother? The advice that we get here has also rolled off the tongues of some of those special elders in our lives. “Don’t wear out your welcome” – we’ve heard from time to time. “Good fences make good neighbors.”

Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor’s house,
otherwise the neighbor will become weary of you and hate you.

It’s OK to visit friends and neighbors. Just don’t go so often that you get your mail there.

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for giving me good neighbors. Let me enjoy them in with proper boundaries. Amen.
