This was given to me years (ok, decades) ago during a secret friend exchange while I was employed at a school district. After tasting this, I HAD to have the recipe. It’s fantastic: satisfies all the cravings for salt, crunch, chocolate, nuts and sweet. It makes quite a bit! I always make a huge batch and put plenty of it in the tins I give to people (mailman, garbage/recycle crew, post office, auto repair, eye dr), with whom we do business with every year.

Recipe

2 1/2 cups peanuts
3 cups cheerios
3 cups each: rice and corn Chex; mini pretzels
2 cups M & M plain candies
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds white chocolate buttons or candy bark melt

Mix all dry ingredients. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in microwave (just be careful to not scorch it either way!). Stir gently but thoroughly into mix to coat well. Spread onto a LARGE wax paper covered cookie sheet. Place in refrigerator or freezer for about 15 minutes to chill. Break apart and store in an airtight container. Enjoy!

Prayer

External God, we live in a world fraught with many changes. We thank You that Your house, Your kingdom, and Your throne are established forever. While we thank You that these will endure, we are grateful that our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.
