“What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15

As I read this verse I was reminded that God calls us all to things in this life. He calls us to these things in obedience and he gives us courage in the Spirit to carry them out. If God calls us to things, He will not leave us until these things are completed. If God is calling us to take a stand in His name then He will give us courage to follow through until it is finished just like He promised Jacob so long ago.

As you search your heart to hear God’s call, may He give you all the courage you need to stand firm in His name. Remember that He will not leave you in your hour of need. He will instead give you the courage and strength you need until it is finished.

Prayer

Gracious and Loving Father, we know that You have promised us an eternity in heaven if we would only follow You. Thank You for reminding us that You will walk with us on this journey of life until that promise is fulfilled. Please give us continued courage and strength to be obedient to the things You have called us to knowing that You will never leave us. In Jesus Name, Amen.
