I like maps and diagrams. I like to see where I am heading before I start the trip. In this regard, I may be known to live my life by Proverbs 14:15.

The simple believe everything,
but the clever consider their steps.
Proverbs 14:15

I have tripped over roots while running down paths. I have slipped in wet leaves. I have taken my share of tumbles in life.

I’m not sure that I am that clever, but I’m trying to avoid being simple and gullible. Wisdom may be found in not believing everything. Doing our research, and considering the next steps, may help us avoid some of the missteps along the path of life.

Help me God, to remember to use my brain to guide my feet to where my soul will be filled and my life more complete. Amen.
