1 Praise the Lord, all you nations!
Extol him, all you peoples!
2 For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord
Psalm 119 (look it up when you have lots of time) is the longest psalm in the Bible. When you read it in the original Hebrew you see the beauty of this alphabetic acrostic poem as it celebrates the power of God’s word. It is a complex poetic spiritual masterpiece.
On the other hand, Psalm 117 is the shortest psalm in the scriptures. You don’t have to know the Hebrew language, or anything about any alphabet or what an acrostic poem is to truly appreciate the message it has for our hearts and souls.
God’s steadfast love toward us in great.
The faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
In any day and time, that is great message.
Great is Your faithfulness to us, O Lord. Your love is overwhelming. Keep us safe and remind us that You are always with us. Let us share this good news with everyone we meet today, as we live in Your love. Amen.
