Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150
I had to use all 6 verses of Psalm 150 because they are all just so good. One of my favorite sayings is, “Praise the Lord.” I probably say it 100 times a day and I actually mean it. When something good happens, I say Praise the Lord! When the Lord answers a prayer request that has been on my heart, I try to immediately respond with “Praise the Lord.” When I hear good news from a friend, I respond with “Praise the Lord.” I picked up that simple little phrase from my husband because he too says it all the time. I just love those 3 simple words – Praise the Lord!
Friends we get to Praise the Lord each and every day. Whether it’s belting out worship songs in the shower, singing your favorite hymn at church, telling a friend about a prayer God has answered for you, or just taking a few minutes to say thank you. We get to Praise Him all day and every day.
I love the week of Vacation Bible School because we get to carry out these verses during the weeklong celebration. The children always start their evening with songs worshipping the Lord. This year there were drums, guitars, keyboards, and even fake candles waving in the air. The children were praising the Lord in song and worshipping Him. It truly is a joyous time.
So this week – make sure you find a time each day to PRAISE THE LORD.
We love you and we praise You’ Heavenly Father. Thank You for all that You do for us. Help us to worship You in all of our unique ways. Amen.
