But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:8

This verse reminds me of another verse I read recently at youth group, “for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one. John 10:29-30. We should be walking around with confidence not because of who we are, but because of our salvation in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, that same salvation makes us God’s very own people and because we are His people, NO ONE and NOTHING can snatch us away from His hand. We are protected by the armor of faith and love. Let that speak some truth to you this morning! The battle has been won and you are His. End of story. You belong to Jesus and that means He fights for YOU. You are not alone and He never asks you to go through your stuff alone.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for these verses this morning. Thank You for reminding me that we are protected by the armor of faith and love and that nothing can snatch us away from You. We belong to You. Help me to remember that good news each day as I start my day with You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
