³⁵ They crucified him and then divided his clothes among them by throwing dice.

In the Time with Younger Disciples on Easter Sunday, we often look at things hiding in the Resurrection Eggs. The question then comes regarding an unusual symbol of our faith – a die or dice. How could an instrument of games and gambling help us reflect on our what we believe? This image reminds us of how people mistreated our Lord for our sake.

Holy Jesus, when I pause to remember the humiliation You endured to secure my salvation, I am deeply moved. Thank You for Your all-suffering love —- for me. Amen.
