Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

Prayer

Eternal God, we thank You for the saints who go before us. None of us are perfect, but we are all called to follow You and to love others. We thank You for those who have shown us how to be faithful to that call and to be Your disciples. Strengthen us to follow their examples of service and love. May we embody Your grace and faithfulness to others today. In Your name we pray, Amen.
