Matthew 25:34-36
Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’
Holy God, You are truly Lord of all. We give You thanks for the gifts that You provide us with every day. As we look around us and recognize that so many others have a harder life, we also hear Your call to serve and love our neighbors. Strengthen us to answer that call, even when we are scared, uncomfortable, or don’t know what to say or do. Empower us to be Your hands and heart in our community and to share Your love. In Your name we pray, Amen.
